Hen Gapel (“The Old Chapel”) is a beautiful, converted chapel, privately situated in the historic village of Llanddew, Brecon. Hen Gapel was built in 1866 as a Calvinist Chapel and was deconsecrated in the 1950s. It was converted into a home by a local builder in 1987.
Hen Gapel provides delightful, well furnished, self-catering holiday accommodation for up to 8 people. There is ample, off-road parking for several cars and a safe, fully enclosed garden at the rear.
Hen Gapel comprises 4 bedrooms (1 with en suite shower room) 1 family bathroom, lounge, snug, dining kitchen, pantry and utility room (with WC). The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the property comes complete with dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. There is large TV and DVD player in the lounge and a smaller TV/DVD player in the snug. Also within the snug, you will find a selection of DVDs, books and games for your enjoyment.
There is a wood burning stove in the lounge, for which logs are supplied, and central heating throughout, which is included in the rental cost. Bed linen and towels are provided and there is a cot and a high chair at the property (cot bed linen not provided).
Outside there is a barbeque and seating area and a secure enclosed garden. Hen Gapel is ideally situated to access all of the amenities and activities of Brecon and its surrounding areas, whilst providing a secluded base for your family holiday.
