Hawtree Cottage is situated in Little Ouseburn, a pretty village just 10 miles from the historic City of York. This fully detached, four star rated, single storey cottage is also an ideal base to visit the North Yorks Moors National Park and James Herriott's famous Yorkshire Dales. At the end of a day's walking in the stunning countryside or around York's City Walls, why not relax in the cottage's secluded South facing paddock garden enjoying a drink or bbq.There is a good pub in the village and in Great Ouseburn, less than a mile away, 'The Crown' is well worth of visit as it was voted Yorkshire's Pub of the Year in 2004. There is a challenging 18 hole golf course at Aldwark Manor, less than 2 miles away which has the added bonus of a Health Spa. Why not treat your partner while you play golf. For the price of a beauty treatment you can have full access to the full sized pool, gym, sauna, steam rooms, bars and restaurants.Hawtree Cottage is situated in a convenient location for all types of activities, walking, golf, fishing, visiting pubs and inns, museums ( eg The National Railway Museum) and of course the all important retail therapy available in York, Harrogate and not forgetting the designer shops and Harvey Nicholls in Leeds.The cottage is very well equipped, centrally heated and the rental includes all power, heat and light together with bed linen (duvets) and towels.
