Wilhayes Barn ONE of 10, charming and well equipped holiday cottages on the Cornwall/Devon border with excellent facilities including indoor pool and a par 3 pitch 'n' putt course

Enjoying an elevated position in six peaceful acres, West Banbury Farm offers an extensive range of facilities in a delightful rural atmosphere. Stately homes, gardens, lovely beaches, hidden coves and numerous holiday attractions all lie within easy reach due to it being only a minute's drive to the A30. The 700 acre Roadford Lake offering sailing, walks, bird watching and tea rooms is a mile away. A leisure building houses a large heated pool, sauna and fitness room with various exercise equipment. The spacious grounds include a nine hole pitch and putt golf course, grass tennis court, children's playground, a fenced wildlife pond and several barbecues. Seven of the cottages have been converted from traditional farm buildings dating back to the 16th century, retaining much of their charm with exposed beams and stonework in their spacious rooms. Three further one bedroom cottages have been built to a traditional design with exposed stone and slate kitchen floors in their spacious interiors. Wilhayes 3 Bedrooms sleeps 8 A spacious detached converted barn with stunning views.  Open plan sitting/dining room with vaulted ceiling and well equipped fitted kitchen. Two twin bedded rooms.  Bathroom/WC (power shower over bath). First floor: master double bedroom with ensuite shower room/WC. Galleried second sitting area with TV, sofa bed and alcove with single bed. 2 TVs, dishwasher, freezer, larder fridge, microwave, radio/CD, automatic washer/dryer, garden furniture. Prices from £500 to £1,112 per week All cottages use electricity for heating water and rooms via storage heater (usage paid at cost). All have double glazing and most have heated towel rails. Dove cottage has a woodburner. We take up to 2 pets in a cottage and high chairs and cots are available. All cottages have stairgates apart from single storey ones. Jacobs Pen is ideal for 2 couples or family with older children as second bedroom has no interconnecting door and is approached by its own entrance.  All bed linen and tea towels are provided but guests need to bring their own towels. Our Excellent Facilities We have a large (12 metres by 6 metres) heated (28 degrees) indoor pool, sauna (extra cost), fitness room with exercise apparatus, a grass tennis court (bring your own rackets),  par 3, 9 hole pitch and putt course and a children's play area. There is also a fenced wildlife pond and several shared barbecues. All cottages have sitting out areas with garden furniture.  For the serious golfers amongst you we can give you vouchers which entitle you to 2 green fees for the price of one at most of the local golf courses. The nearest courses are at Launceston (10 mins), Okehampton (20 mins), Holsworthy (20 mins) and Tavistock (30 mins). The International Course at St Mellion is not much further away. There are numerous pubs for eating, both good pub food and restaurant quality food. There are also a couple of upmarket restaurants within 5 miles and plenty of take aways in nearby Launceston. Easy Access to Everywhere Although inland, because of the easy access to the A30 we are not far from anywhere.  The nearest beach is the beautiful Crackington Haven with its glorious sandy beach and rock pools taking only 35 minutes and other lovely beaches such as Bude and Widemouth Bay are only a few minutes further away.  Major tourist attractions such as the Eden project and Dobwells Adventure park are 45 minutes away, Looe can be reached in under an hour as can Plymouth and Exeter if you fancy some real shopping.   Within 45 minutes you can reach the romantic remains of Tintagel set on a wild and windswept headland that juts out into the Atlantic.  Be prepared to climb the wooden stairway of some 300 steps to the Island that is the legendary birthplace of King Arthur.
