The period cottage adjoins the main farmhouse, and dates from the 18th century. The photo shows the front of the property with part of the lawn and patio. 

The Cottage has two separate en suite bedrooms, offering accommodation for up to four adults. A cot is also available on request. 

The property is south-facing and fronts a sizeable lawn garden and patio. Garden furniture is provided. One of the bedrooms overlooks Gratton Dale. 

The interior is very comfortable and constantly maintained to a high standard. The property has recently been refurbished (including new carpets), and has central-heating throughout. Cleanliness and décor are personally supervised by the proprietor between each let.

Description of Rooms:
Combined lounge/dining/kitchen area (23' x 14'; 7m x 4m): 
  
The combined lounge and dining/kitchen area covers the entire ground floor of this property. Original wooden ceiling beams support the first floor. The room is centrally heated by several radiators and an electric fire. 

The dining/kitchen section is fully furnished with dining table and chairs, Welsh dresser, electric cooker, fridge, microwave oven, washing machine, sink unit, cupboard, and worktop area. Also provided are crockery and cooking utensils, toaster, electric kettle, coffee-maker, iron and ironing board, and vacuum cleaner. A washing-machine and tumble drier are also available to guests: these are located external to the cottage, in the main farmhouse's pantry. 

The lounge section is furnished with a couch and easy-chairs, window seats, coffee table, remote-controlled TV with video recorder, radio, and an electric fire set in front of a stone fireplace.

Bedroom 1: 
The first bedroom comprises a double-bed with bedding, washbasin (with shaver point), wardrobe, a dressing-table, central-heating radiator, and two sets of drawers. A power shower and w.c. are en suite. Note that a cot is available on request.

Bedroom 2:
The second bedroom is similar to the first, and comprises two single beds with bedding, washbasin (with shaver point), wardrobe, central-heating radiator, and two sets of drawers. A power shower and w.c. are also en suite.

Tennis:
A full size asphalt tennis court is available for use.

Children:
The enclosed grounds are perfectly safe for children to play in. 

Linen Hire Service:
Bed linen and towels (but not tea/kitchen towels) are available for hire. 

Vehicle Parking:
There is ample off-road parking in front of the cottage/farmhouse.

Telephone:
There is an old-fashioned red public telephone box adjacent to Dale End. Mobile telecommunications coverage is limited, but a short stroll up the hill should ensure contact!

Arrival / Departure Times:
It would be greatly appreciated if occupants would arrive at Dale End after 3.30 p.m., and vacate the property by 10.00 a.m.
