Rated 4 Star by Tourism South East for 2007. The Finings is set in the heart of the historic town of Lewes. The accommodation is opposite the Old Beard’s Brewery, which is now an art gallery and workshops for artists and crafts people. The Finings was the bottling store for the Old Beard’s Brewery converted into luxurious accommodation comprising of two double/twin rooms and a well equipped shower room with heated towel rail, under floor heating throughout the bedroom area. The loft style living room has many original features. The Velux windows have remote controlled blinds and the living area is comfortably furnished with natural wooden flooring, colour television, a DVD and video player.There is also a double bed settee for sleeping another two people. The dining area seats 6. The kitchen area has granite worktops and is fully fitted with a gas range cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is a coin-operated telephone. Car parking is nearby in residents and public car parking zones. We can supply residents parking vouchers for 70p a day . The property is very convenient for all forms of public transport, only 5 minutes walk from the train station and 2 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop. Lewes has many places of interest to visit, including the Castle & Barbican, Ann of Cleaves House, The Old Priory, plus many beautiful parks and gardens. Glyndebourne Opera is only 2 miles away. There is easy walking access to the Southdowns Way and a footpath system across the Weald and Ashdown Forest. The nearest beaches are at Seaford or Brighton about 8 miles away. We have a wholefood shop in the town and manufacture organic tofu and tempeh nearby, so we can arrange a selection of vegetarian or vegan foods on arrival if required. We have a travel cot & stair-gate if required. Linen and towels are supplied. Changeover day is Friday. The accommodation is non-smoking.
