Welcome to Hopyard Farm, an ideal location for any holiday or short break. Surrounded by the beautiful Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains the farm is located in the picturesque Usk Valley between the River Usk and Monmouthshire-Brecon Canal. For large groups booking three or more cottages, we can offer use of The Barn. This newly-fubished room with fully-equipped kitchen and meeting / dining table (seating up to twenty) retains the beams and character of the former milking barn. The former dairy farm now offers four self-catering cottages converted from a 16th Century stone barn. Sleeping from 3 to 6 people each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, colour television and video in the lounge and its own rear garden. Linen and towels, heating and electricity are all included in the cottage rental price. Cosy and homely are words repeated by many of our guests who come back year after year. A large lawned area provides a safe children's play area with slide and swings plus garden seating for guests to enjoy the stunning views. We offer a gas barbecue for hire and a range of games for guests to use from reception. A laundry room is available for guests' use.We have a comprehensive range of bikes to suit the whole of the family which can be hired from the farm. Close to traffic free trails on the nearby canal and old railway line, there are close links to national and regional cycle routes as well as mountain biking in the Brecon Beacons. The bustling market town of Abergavenny is only three miles from Hopyard Farm, much closer is the village of Govilon, which has a general store, two public houses, Post Office and Church.
