Traditional imported Finnish Log Cabins, beautifully constructed with quality furnishings in a spectacular valley setting with mountain and stream views.

The log cabins are located just 9 miles from Newport and 16 miles from Cardiff. Within easy reach of walking routes, the Brecon Beacons and many great attractions in South Wales. There are also countryside walks within the grounds for all the family. We are members of the Caerphilly Tourism Association,and hold a WTB Welcome Host 'Gold' Standard.

The two cabins offer a living/dining area with TV/DVD Player, radio, fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer. A fully fitted shower room and three bedrooms, one double, one single and one with bunk beds.

The Capital is 20mins travel with the newest City in Wales (Newport) a mere 10mins. Enjoy a pleasant break and perhaps make use of local Golf (Bryn Meadows or Celtic Manor Golf) and other amenities.

On site there are lots of walks through the woodland, and also to the Common of Mynydd Lan. There is a National Standard Clay Shooting Club nearby. Our village adjoins the 1000 acre Sirhowy Valley Country Park, and our site is set in the ancient hamlet of Clawr y Plwyf in the old Hill Parish of Mynyddislwyn - still well known for the Sheepdog Trials.

As you would expect, there are numerous country pubs nearby - (to explore) and most offer reasonably priced food. There are also venues for most types of entertainment in the area.

Attractions are: Castles - Caerphilly and Castell Coch. Llancaiach Manor House, Climbing Centre, Mountain Biking Course at Cwmcarn Forest Drive - the entrance
of this major activity centre also happens to be opposite the Crumlin Arm of the well known Mon and Brec Canal, where the Trip boat 'Jemima Morris' starts and ends her journeys to and from the Darran area of Risca.

(Restoration is well under way to link this arm back to the 14 Locks Heritage Centre at Newport - while the main Tourism Cruising line from Brecon which currently ends at Cwmbran, is also being restored back to Newport).
