A comfortable, traditional, 19thC stone-built terraced cottage in the mountain village of Trawsfynydd in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. The property provides a well equipped fitted kitchen, incorporating full sized electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, etc.; and in the living room there is 'free to air' satellite TV, VCR, DVD player, CD/radio/cassette & a multifuel stove (woodburner), which when in use also heats the water. (Hot water is generated by immersion heater if the fire is not required). The small bathroom contains a 5' bath, hand basin, toilet & a wall hung fan heater. Featuring 1 double, and 1 twin bedroom, the cottage is ideal for couples or young families, but sorry, no children under 5 years. Pets usually welcome by arrangement. Shops, pubs, cafe/restaurant etc. are all available within the village. There are many walks that may be commenced from the village, and for the angler there is Llyn Trawsfynydd, a 1200 acre reservoir just 5 minutes walk from the cottage. The central location of the village enables easy access to all the varied attractions that Snowdonia has to offer, including :- castles; museums; slate mines; copper mines; gold mines; narrow gauge railways; rare breed farms; potteries; woollen mills; local craft centres etc., and beautiful sandy beaches at Barmouth & Harlech and along the Lleyn Peninsular; and for the energetic there is also canoeing; rock climbing; pony trekking & mountain biking. (The renowned Coed-y-Brenin mountain biking centre is approximately 5 miles South of the village). The Italianate village of Portmerion (featured as the location for the cult 60s television series 'The Prisoner'), is about 15 minutes away by car, as is the famous Ffestiniog Railway, and the Llechwedd Slate Museum.
