Beautiful converted barn in West Wales - ideal for those wanting a quiet location. Set in owners 75 acre woodland valley only 5 minutes from the A40 at St Clears near Carmarthen. 5 miles north of Llaugharne and Dylan Thomas boathouse. We opened in 2005.

We have paid great attention to detail to ensure very high standards of comfort and cleanliness. We promise Old Oak Barn will be more than suitable for those who want to stay somewhere a little bit different. Some would call this luxury accommodation. Underfloor heating will keep you warm whatever the weather!

The huge patio facing south is excellent for having a BBQ and we supply firewood for camp fires. Inside is extremely well equipped and well presented. DVD player plus wide screen DVD with freeview. Dishwasher, washing machine and modern ceramic hob. Slate floors in bathroom. Wooden floors in main living area which is 35sq metres! Two big tables in the property plus 2 2 seater leather sofas. Bedrooms are warm and cosy - one with a double bed and one with two singles. Children welcome including very little ones who need the travel cot and high chair. Our youngest guest this summer was only 6 weeks old!

Owners live across the yard and can provide suggestions on all the best places to visit and eat locally. Guests have access to our woods which have been well managed since we moved here. Often we see badgers at play. Having lived here for nearly 20 years we are familiar with what to do and where to go throughout the year.

ALl our guests this year have been more than happy with their choice and many have promised to return. We welcome short breaks out of the main summer season and can accommodate you on a per night basis.
