Bwlch Y Pant is a warm, cosy, comfortable and well-equipped self-catering cottage, sleeping 4, on a working farm, nestled at the foot of the wild expanses of the Preseli Hills, and 2 miles from Maenclochog. Beautiful, scenic area. This is an ideal base to explore the many delights of Pembrokeshire. Plenty of attractions and superb beaches within easy driving distance. This cottage is a semi-detached and adjoining the owners farmhouse, which is on a working dairy farm in a rural area on the southern fringe of the Preseli National Park. The cottage has two bedrooms - one double and one twin, with an extra folding bed. Both a cot and a high chair are also provided. The bathroom has w.c. a wash hand basin, and a bath with an electric shower. In the comfortable living room there are a TV /VCR, a radio/ CD/ cassette player, board games and toys, and books and the well equipped kitchen/ dining area has an oil-fired rayburn (for cooking, heating and hot water) as well as an electric cooker, a microwave, a fridge and a toaster. Duvets, bed linen, and towels are provided. Electricity, oil and water are all included in the price for the Cottage that has full central heating and double glazing. Use of owners washing machine, if required. We have an enclosed garden with furniture, swings, sand pit, swing ball and portable BBQ. Use of owners trampoline and table tennis Parking for two cars in a concrete yard. DOGS ARE WELCOME - but must be under strict control due to livestock. The village of Maenclochog is 2 miles away where there are a couple of shops and petrol stations, a pub and a post office. There is excellent food served at several local pubs and restaurants. We are a few miles from the picturesque Llys-Y-Fran Reservoir and Country Park where there are numerous facilities including nature trails, bird watching, fishing, canoeing, wind surfing, a cafe and also mountain bike hire. There is local pony trekking, but for those wishing to bring their own horses, stabling is also available. This is fantastic walking/ riding country, including forest, open moorland and quiet country lanes. The Cottage is within easy reach of the wild expanses of the Preseli Hills and walking part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is an experience not to be missed. For the keen cyclist the Celtic Trail passes right by the property. The visitor attractions in Pembrokeshire are many and varied, with activities to suit everyone, including boat trips, fishing, golfing, bird watching, woodland walks, and local crafts, to name a few. Between beautiful beaches and historic castles you will find Oakwood Leisure Park, with it's rollercoasters and water rides, Folly Farm, Heron's Brook and Manor House animal parks, Shire Horse farm and Pembertons Chocolate Farm. Maybe a trip to Caldey Island, a visit to St. Davids, the smallest city in Britain, with the neighbouring Whitesands Bay or take a walk through the lily ponds at Bosherton to the fantastic beach beyond.
