Butterslade and Ramsgrove Cottages are two very attractive 18th century renovated barns on a 140 acre working mixed farm, which has been farmed by the same family since 1714. The cottages have been named after two coves which are opposite the farm with a short walk to get there, this will take you along one of the many footpaths to the National Trust coastline. The original character of the barns has been retained as far as possible keeping the stone work and open loft area.Each cottage is comfortable, patio furniture and BBQ' are supplied. They are personally supervised by the owner who lives on the property, and cleanliness is of the utmost.Gower is a very unique area as a peninsula having beautiful sandy beaches on the south with the estuary and marshes on the north side, there is plenty to explore. Gower has sites of historical interst with castles-Weobley and Oxwich and Oystermouth to name just a few. Then there is King Arthur's Stone and Cefn Bryn with horses and sheep roaming the commons which covers much of Gower. There are various places to eat throughout the Gower. The King Arthur Reynoldston is a very busy pub and has plenty of atmosphere for children as well as adults. Mumbles is a good place to go as Catherine Zeta Jones hails from these parts. Locals still call it The Village but its quite a busy little town will lots of small boutiques, craft shops, coffee shops and also ice cream parlours. There's the Victorian Pier and headland at the end of the bay.If you would like to travel into Swansea we are proud to claim Dylan Thomas with the Dylan Thomas Centre and Theatre, Cwmdonkin Park where he played as a child and there is a trail to follow in his footsteps. There are great parks - Clyne Singleton with its Botanical Gardens also Plantasia which has exotic plants. There are Museums and Galleries of great interest to look at and when in Swansea town you must visit Swansea market with the local cockles, laverbread and local produces.Kimley Moor Farm is 16 miles west of Swansea via the A4118. Turn right at Scurlage and we are 2 miles along the B4247 on the right hand side of the road. A landmark to look out for is a red and blue painted old plough outside the farmhouse.
