Cabhalan Cottage is a cosy modernised and centrally-heated crofthouse that has open fires and four feet thick stone walls dating from the early 1800s. Its location is a secluded, peaceful and isolated spot 100 metres from the seashore and enjoying uninterrupted views across the sea to Skye, the Cuillin Mountains and the west coast of Scotland. The nearest residence is half a mile away in each direction and there is a small sheltered bay with anchorage behind the cottage. Ideal for viewing seals, otters and seabirds. Perfect for those wanting a ‘get-away’!
The accomodation consists of a living room/kitchen with Esse solid fuel stove, electric cooker, fridge/freezer and normal cooking equipment; a fully tiled bathroom with shower, toilet, wash-handbasin, two sinks for washing and an automatic washing machine. The sitting room has an open fire and recess alcove double bed and wardrobe, three piece suite and television that will receives 4 channels. There are two other bedrooms, one double bedroom and one bedroom with full adult-size bunk beds. The entrance to Cabhalan Cottage is via a large entrance porch and hall.
Vehicle can access Cabhalan Cottage directly, down a half mile private road, is right to the door with parking for upto three cars. There is a telephone for incoming and local calls at no extra cost, a facility for those wishing to make use of the internet. Quilts and covers, blankets and pillows are provided but sheets, pillowcases or towels will only be supplied if specially requested.
