This beautiful bungalow is situated in the south end of South Uist. Within a ten minute walk are the wonderful sandy beaches stretching for miles along the coastline and panoramic views of the picturesque Island of Orosay.
The nearest public house, Polachar Inn, is only five minutes drive away or about thirty minutes walk along the beach, perfect for taking in the fresh sea air. There are a number of activities avaialbe locally including golf on the world renowned "Old Tom Morris" course at Askernish, fishing and bird-watching. Also within a ten minute drive is the local supermarket, butchers, gift shop and tourist office.

By car, from Lochmaddy and the north, take the A865 south through Benbecula and South Uist towards Lochboisdale. Dun Buide is found by taking the B888 turning right off the main B892 at Daliburgh. Proceed south and turn right when you see the signs to An Leth Meadhanach. (Journey time 1 hour). From the ferry at Eriskay head north onto the B888 to south Uist across the causeway and turn left when you see the signs for An Leth Meadhanach (Journey time 20 minutes).
Lochboisdale is the main ferry terminal on South Uist and is 10 minutes from Dun Buidhe, theb cottage can also be reached by plane from Glasgow. Caledonian Macbrayne passenger/car ferry run from Oban directly to Lochboisdale throughout the year. Ferrys also run from Uig in Skye to Lochmaddy on North Uist. Ferry also runs from Barra. The nearest airport is on Benbecula.The airport is situated on the North of the Island on the B892 road and is clearly signposted.
