There is canoeing and pedalo hire on the Loch and cycle hire in summer months.Also a cycle path along the banks of the Loch to Luss.Several events take place in and around Balloch each year. The LOCH LOMOND HIGHLAND GAMES and the LOMOND FOLK FESTIVAL are in July and the SCOTTISH OPEN GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP. And if thats not enough there's also the amazing Maid of the Loch Paddle steamer to visit. Balloch itself has a large country park which provides excellent views of the Loch. There are also cruises on the Loch from Balloch pier summer months only.Balloch also has many good local restaurants and pubs with excellent food.
