East Lochhead Farmhouse and stone outbuildings have been carefully restored to high quality, award-winning accommodation. The peace and tranquility of this rural situation with beautiful views over the Barr Loch make it difficult to believe that Glasgow Airport is only 15 minutes away and Glasgow City only 25. Prestwick Airport too is only 30 minutes away, and the Clyde Coast and Largs less than 20. It is an ideal centre from which to explore Burns country, savour Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, play golf on one of the 30 or more courses within easy driving distance, or enjoy sailing in the Clyde estuary and to the islands beyond, as well as many other activities.

East Lochhead Country House and its three cosy cottages form a sheltered courtyard set in two acres of garden and 25 acres of farmland. There are spectacular views over the Barr Loch. The garden provides fresh herbs, vegetables and fruit in season. The Andersons keep Highland Cattle, Jacob Sheep and hens as well as a horse and three dogs. Spring time, with it's lambs and calves can be a rewarding experience for visiting children and adults too if they come from the town. There are three cottages, each of them differing in size and design, arranged around the courtyard. Careful rehabilitation of the old barns has created high quality accommodation that should meet all the requirements of visitors to East Lochhead. Being in a self-catering holiday cottage, however, does not mean that guests cannot join us for breakfast in the main house or, if preferred, in the familiar surroundings of your cottage.
