Discover stunning views over West Loch Tarbert from two comfortable, well-kept cottages, each sleeping four. On the Achaglachgach farm estate with its walled garden, walks in the protected oak wood, burn, sea pool for fishing, own shore and jetty, rowing boat in summer. Wildlife is abundant - we regularly see seals, herons and buzzards, sometimes a Golden Eagle on the hill above. Both cottages have double and twin bedrooms with cots and highchairs also available. We take dogs by arrangement. Special winter weekends at £130.
We're 15 minutes drive from the pretty fishing village of Tarbert for shops, bars, restaurants (ask about fresh fish from the boats) and 15 minutes from the award winning pub food at the Kilberry Inn. The ferry to Jura and Islay is 8 miles away; the Gigha ferry is also near. The little ferry to Gigha takes 15 minutes and you can visit the famous Achamore Gardens on the Island and hire bikes. Within a mile of the cottages is the forest walk to the famous Achaglachgach Bronze Age cairns and medieval fort with fantastic views. You can swim and boat from our own pebbly shore and Carse beach with its white sands is 10 minutes down the Kilberry Road by car. Call ahead in summer for details of local pony trekking in Tarbert.

Both bedrooms, double and twin, have loch views. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large fridge, oven and microwave.
THE GATE LODGE
The cosy stone Gate Lodge has an open fire and its own garden. There is a large double bedroom with views down the loch and a twin room at the back. In both cottages we provide logs but there are electric convection heaters throughout. They also have washing machines, dryers and televisions.
