The Area

Dunoon is the capital of the Cowal region which grew from a village to the major Clyde seaside resort in the late 1800s.  Here you will find numerous attractions including ample shopping, swimming pool, bowling and parks - not forgetting  the promenade and seafront.

The landscape on south west Cowal is breathtaking.  The Kyles of Bute, tracts of water which separate the north end of Bute from Cowal offers some of the best sailing in Scotland.

North west from Dunoon you can find Loch Eck, Strachur on Lock Fyne and Lochgoilhead on Lock Long.
