The Saltings, is a comfortable house that stands in its own fenced off garden, ideal for young children.
Ground floor: entrance lobby leading to open plan living / dining area with separate kitchen and bathroom.
Sleeping area with double bed, curtained off from the living room. Upstairs: bedroom with double bed and single bed, single bed on landing.

Kilchoan is derived from the Gaelic Cill Chomhghain, meaning Comgan's cell or church, that is, a place of retreat or worship. This South facing village has spectacular views across the sea to Mull.
It is a charming, unhurried Crofting Township, which offers facilities such as a hotel, community centre, children's play park, jetty, ferry, stores and Post Office, which are all within walking distance.
Ferry Services
Caledonian MacBrayne operate ferry services from Oban, Lochaline and Kilchoan.You can book the ferry from Oban.
The bus service operates on the island between Tobermory and Craignure and Fionphort (where you cross to Iona) Portrainich Cottage is not on the bus route. You can hire a car on the island.
I provide a brochure service for people coming to the island, and will send you a pack of over 30 leaflets and brochures of things to see and do on the island, including maps,ferry timetables, wildlife trips, Iona, whale watching trips, castles, places to eat, restaurants, cycling, fishing, golf, and many many more.
