Hillockhead Holiday cottages, a hidden gem on the Black Isle in the Highlands of Scotland

The Black Isle is not really an island but the famous peninsula of the Moray Firth known for its mild and sunny climate. Nearby Chanonry Point in Fortrose is one of the best places in the Europe to watch the amazing bottlenose dolphins! Indeed, the Black Isle is a haven for wild life: deer, buzzards, pine marten and many different birds including oyster catchers and red kites.

For youngsters, the nearby wild life park is great adventure, while the dolphin boat trips are thrilling for all ages! Landmark a nearby forest theme park is exciting for all ages and has fantastic water slides.  Those looking for something active will enjoy the pony riding, quad biking, walking and golf. For the mountain bike enthusiast, a newly opened high-quality, off-road track runs behind your accommodation, Hillockhead.

If you are looking for something less strenuous, there are many local attractions a short, attractive car drive away. Inverness, for instance, has all the amenities and interests of a big city while famous Loch Ness is only 40 minutes away. The local area boasts salmon jumping, castles, distilleries, lochs and, of course, its outstanding scenery. All in all, it has something for everyone. No wonder guests return year after year to this place of peace and tranquillity.

Hillockhead Farm consists of 7 cottages, each individual in character sleeping between 2 and 6 guests. The holiday cottages are beautifully situated in 160 acres of woodland glens and all cottages have stunning, panoramic sea views over the Moray Firth.

This newly built highland cottage is decorated to a high standard, if you want a touch of luxury this is the cottage for you with it's laminate floors, modern well equipped kitchen and whirlpool bath.

Well equipped kitchen including washer/dryer, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

The lounge area (with TV, video, DVD and stereo) takes full advantage of the panoramic view through large, clear glass, patio doors.

First floor: Family bedroom with three single beds and one roll out bed.

Second bathroom with wc, shower and sit up bath.
