The bungalows are approximately 80 yards from the seashore with private access to the beach. Melvaig has a cafe bar/restaurant and another tea room nearby. The area's attractions include Inverewe Gardens, whale-watching trips, salmon, trout and sea fishing, golf course and pony trekking. The coastline around Melvaig and to the Rua Reidh Lighthouse (approx 4 miles) is rugged,a haven for nesting birds, seals, whales and otters. The house overlooks the sea and the Western Isles of Skye, Harris and Lewis. The Beinn Eighe Nature reserve and the Torridon mountains are just a short distance away. All amenities including hotels, restaurants, shops, garage and a dental surgery can be found in Gairloch. Fishing trips,and guided walks and climbing available by prior arrangement.
