The Smithy is in a stunningly beautiful, remote area described as Europes' last great wilderness - enjoy it while you can!

This original Stoer Smithy is adjacent to, but detached from, the owners' Smithy House. Newly renovated to the highest standards, the cosy, compact accommodation comes fully equipped with fitted kitchen (fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker - oven, grill and hob), spacious shower room and living/bedroom with cathedral ceiling.

Windows to front and rear, and a velux window in the main living/bedroom, enhance the spacious feel. This area has a wood burning stove as its central feature, supplemented by electric panel heating. Two comfortable wing chairs, together with extensive library and CD/radio provide additional facilities and comfort.

Flexible bedroom furniture with quality mattresses provides for twin or kingsize sleeping arrangements.

The kitchen leads onto the Smithy's own small private garden with open views towards Loch Neil Bhain. Enjoy a quite drink on the bench and watch the evening sunset. A licensed Guest House is just a short walk away and provides evening meals by arrangement.

All linen, towels and fuel for the stove are included, with electricity charged at cost by meter reading - payable at end of stay. Single occupancy discount of 15%

The village of Lochinver is a scenic 20-minute drive away and has all local amenities. Stoer and Clashnessie beaches are within walking distance (about a mile) and other safe, white sand beaches are close by. The surrounding area is famed for wildlife including otters, seals, deer and bird life. Stoer Smithy makes an ideal base for relaxing, walking, sailing, beach-combing, climbing, fishing (sea and loch) and geology. Sightseeing opportunities abound for all the family, many only a short walk or drive from the house. Nearby, the village of Ullapool has a leisure centre (including swimming pool) and 9 hole golf course. A variety of boat trips to local attractions (Summer Isles, Handa Island seal colony, Britains highest waterfall, gardens) is available from points along the coast.
