Tucked away within our own 50 acres teaming with wildlife, these warm comfortable cottages nestle amongst the towering Glencoe Mountains and afford magnificent uninterrupted views from all aspects. The whitewashed slate roofed cottages were built by the present owners to high standards resulting in them being awarded one of the first of Gold Awards for Environmental Management. Go “Munro Bagging”! With 6 Munros in Glencoe alone and a further 7 within a few miles there are enough to keep you walking every day for 2 weeks! Fishing is available free of charge to our guests in our own trout loch or in the river on your doorstep. Walk through our woods to the local pub, which serves good food and Real Ale. Wander up to the iconic “Signal Rock” within our grounds. See the hillside where they shoot the “Harry Potter” film scenes with Hagrids Hut within sight of the Glencoe Cottages. This place has been in the Sutherland family for 70 years and our sensitive un-intrusive management has resulted in the flourishing of an unrivalled range of flora and fauna. We invite you to come and enjoy this unique corner of Scotland. The cottages are slate-roofed and traditionally built. Inside they are modern and comfortable with sliding doors to a patio overlooking the river. They are fully insulated with under floor heating throughout. The woodchip fed CH boiler which heats and provides all the domestic hot water for the 4 buildings is situated in the Service Building in the car park and was installed by Buccleuch BioEnergy. The water comes directly from our own spring. The water is first filtered and then passes through an ultra violet ray. No chemicals are added. Our water is tested regularly to ensure its purity.
