It is the perfect location to explore the Scottish Highlands.. Close by are Glencoe with its facilities for walking, climbing, and skiing and Fort William, with Britain's highest mountain 'Ben Nevis' and the Nevis Ski Centre Whilst the seaside town of Oban with all its facilities (including boat trips to the Scottish Islands) is just 20 miles to the south. Duror village is the birthplace of Scottish hero 'James of the Glen' who Robert Louis Stephenson immortalised in his famous novel 'Kidnapped'. The short walk to his birthplace is signed from the cottage. The village has a shop/post office and hotel restaurant/bar within walking distance and there is a seafood restaurant overlooking the Loch less than a mile away. There are regular buses to and from Oban and Fort William from the village. The cottage stands on the very edge of the village. Bright and spacious, it has been fully modernised to provide a contemporary, stylish and relaxing living space. It features three bedrooms (2 x twin and 1 x double). There is a large living room with French windows leading to the garden, a reception area, a spacious kitchen, upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room and attractive modern wooden flooring throughout.
