Duirinish Holiday Lodges are set on the North West coast of the Scottish Highlands in five acres of grass and woodland. Just a mile and a half from the idyllic village of Plockton, with its excellent restaurants, and 4 miles from the Isle of Skye, the nine lodges offer excellent self catering facilities for up to 6 guests in each lodge. Fully heated with well equipped kitchens and athrooms you will find that they make a perfect base for exploring the west coast of Scotland with its wealth of mountains, islands, coastlines and wild life.
There are two distinct types of lodges, Canadian Log Cabin Style and Scandinavian Chalet Style. All lodges are fitted with electric heating and hot water and have individual controls within each lodge. All heating and electricity is included in the price of the lodge. All the lodges have a TV, video, CD player and radio. A small number of CD’s is provided for use in each lodge and video’s can be hired on site. The six Canadian Log Cabin Style lodges are made of solid logs in the tradition of a frontier style cabin. They are entered via a veranda straight into the open plan living/dining area with kitchen at the far end. Five of the Lodges have three bedrooms (double, twin and bunk) and one has two bedrooms (double and twin). These lodges have a warm and cosy romantic log cabin feel.The two Scandinavian Chalet Style lodges have a light and airy feel with high wooden ceilings and light walls. Entry is into a hall way and through to the open plan kitchen and lounge/dining area. Off the hall way are one double bedroom and one twin bedroom as well as the spacious bathroom. These lodges have a very spacious feel with lots of room for up to four guests. All the Lodges have well equipped kitchens with cooker, fridge, toaster, microwave and ample cupboard space, crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils. All bathrooms have baths with shower over. All heating, electricity, linen and towels included in the price.
