The cabin is a real Norwegian log cabin, not a log-clad mobile home, and was built in the summer of 2003 to the highest standards with the aim of providing you with everything you need for a relaxing break in one of the most beautiful areas of Britain.

The cabin is rated by The Scottish Tourist Board and has been awarded a 4 star rating, a rating reserved for those properties considered to be excellent in terms of facilities, cleanliness, comfort and ambience.

Cabin Facilities

The cabin is furnished to a high standard and is available on a self-catering basis with 2 bedrooms sleeping upto 4 adults. The cabin is non-smoking and unfortunately we cannot take pets.

We expect that many of our visitors will want to enjoy the varied outdoor activities available in this beautiful area of the country, from winter sports such as ski-ing and snow-boarding in the winter, to walking, golf, tennis, fishing, and sailing in the summer. However, we also want you to have a chance to relax in the cabin as well, and so facilities available include Satellite TV, DVD, Video Recorder, CD player & radio. Also now available, is a free wireless internet connection for those of you with laptops with wi-fi abilities.

Also available is a gas BBQ, where you can enjoy an evening meal on the decking around the cabin, while enjoying the scenic views to the Cairngorm mountains. Alternatively there are a number of restaurants in the area such as Lisi's or The Boat.

During your stay with us, we provide linen and towels and if you have any special requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

By Air

The nearest airport is Inverness Airport, approximately 30 minutes away by road.

By Train

• Nearest mainline station is Aviemore, with taxis available.
• During summer, transfers are available to Boat of Garten, via The Speyside Railway. Some of these services are offered on Steam Trains.
• Please note that if you travel to Boat of Garten, there is no transfer via public transport. However, we are approximately 1 mile from the station and it may be possible to arrange transport - please contact us to discuss this.
