Rookery Nook - Inverness
This friendly cottage offers peace and privacy and is an ideal base from which to explore Inverness and the Highlands of Scotland. We frequently welcome return visits from guests who have enjoyed their time at Rookery Nook and we look forward to welcoming you, too.
Rookery Nook is in the quiet little village of Culcabock, now part of Inverness. This means that we are in a peaceful rural setting between farm fields and a golf course, while being within walking distance of the city centre. The village shop and nearest bus stop are at the end of our road (two minutes walk away); nearby are three supermarkets and other facilities. Dog owners will find attractive woods to hand and lots of other walks.

Rookery Nook is a bright and cheerful cottage, ideal for a couple or a small family (double sofa-bed in sitting room), designed for easy care during your holiday. The cottage is warm and comfortable, with central heating throughout and constant hot water. It is freshly and attractively decorated and furnished and in excellent order.
The open-plan design of the main room makes it spacious and airy, while its sunny decoration and “living flame” gas fire keep it warm and cheerful, whatever the weather! TV/video and radio/cassette player. Telephone. Comfy sofa-bed and chairs. Patio doors open onto the secluded patio garden – on bright days a real suntrap from early to late and full of scent and colour in the summer.
In the dining area there is a fold-down circular table, comfortably seating four. The kitchen is fully fitted with a fridge, gas hob & microwave oven/grill (v. easy to use if you are new to microwaves!) Fully equipped, the kitchen is easy to use and keep clean. There is a washing machine in the adjoining garage.
The attractive bedroom has comfortable, full-size twin beds, with duvets adjustable for warmth. Bedlinen and towels are provided for two. There is a large fitted wardrobe, a dressing table, chairs and mirrors. The shower room is en-suite, with a modern adjustable shower with fold-down shower seat and hand rails. If you wish to make use of the sofa bed, we can provide extra linen and towels for you or you can bring your own.
Well-behaved pets are welcome at Rookery Nook but not in the bedroom or on the furniture. Please bring your pet’s own bed. (see rent info.) We ask that you do not smoke in the house, although you are welcome to smoke in the garden.

Inverness
INVERNESS, the capital of The Highlands, is a bustling small city with a growing reputation! Beautifully situated on the River Ness on the shores of the Moray Firth, it enjoys one of the finest environments you could imagine. We have our own school of dolphins in the Firth, and of course the famous Loch Ness Monster stays just down the road!
In Inverness you will find theatres, cinemas, sports facilities, shopping, restaurants, swimming pools, golf courses, bowling, tennis, walks and much more.
Nearby activities include golf – Inverness Golf Club’s first tee is just beyond the village shop and there are another dozen courses within easy reach – and walking, ski-ing, riding, sailing, mountaineering, shooting, fishing …. After all that there are many good restaurants to help you recover from a full day’s activities and sightseeing!
And, of course, the fantastic Highlands of Scotlands await you....
