Dufftown is a thriving village with a number of pubs, restaurants and shops and a childrens play area within walking distance of the house.
The area is ideal for walking and biking, with part of the Speyside way starting on the edge of the village.
There are a number of good golf courses in the area including one in Dufftown.

Distilleries, too many to name surround the village. Glenfiddich is a short walk from the house. Convenient for many good fishing rivers.
For the children there are many attractions, pony riding, Landmark, the leisure pool at Elgin, Cairngorm mountain railway.
Inverness and Loch Ness are a pleasant drive away.
