Prospect House, built in 1836, comprises two properties. The owners live in the front part - originally the village tailor's home. The back part was the tailor's workshop but has now been lovingly converted into a delightful holiday home. 
 
The Prospect House holiday flat has its own entrance and comprises a large double bedroom, a huge living/dining/kitchen area (with a sofa bed) and a bathroom. There is plenty room for a travel cot or an additional camp bed (both of which can be supplied for a small extra charge). Prospect House has a garden which extends over one third of an acre - including a huge decking area. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home

About the house 

The house fully modernised to the needs of today. It is centrally heated throughout but it also has a wood burning stove in the living area - very cozy in the evening! Couple this with the possibility of a family sing-song around the piano in the living room and you have everything you need for a traditional Scottish evening - a variety of malt whiskeys are available in the local shop!

The accommodation is fully furnished and all linen and towels are provided. Everything you could need in self catering accommodation is provided - microwave, fridge, cooker, utensils and crockery right through to TVs (living room and bedroom) and a tape/CD system. 
 
The property has a sauna and service washes are available, both at a small extra charge. Ask about borrowing bikes, maps, books, tennis rackets, board games and toys!
 
 
Within Letham itself there are plenty of facilities including 3 tearooms, a village shop/post office, a hotel and a pub, 2 antique shops, a dress shop, a hairdressers, a bakery and a craft shop with a Scotland wide reputation! Letham is ideal for families as it is an extremely safe environment. The playpark and tennis courts are 5 minutes walk away and numerous beautiful walks.

Location

Prospect House is situated in the village of Letham - 15 miles north of Dundee, 40 miles south of Aberdeen, 8 miles from Arbroath and Lunan Bay and, therefore, the seaside. The Glens are only 10 miles away, Kirriemuir only 8. You can be in St Andrews in less than an hour and Edinburgh in under an hour and a half. There are golf courses all around and plenty of tourist attractions nearby.
