In the quiet, picturesque Highland village of Ballater, six miles east of the Queen's Scottish country retreat Balmoral Castle, Countryside have a most stylish townhouse to sleep eight. From the outside this is a traditional terraced house but open the front door and you enter a world of space and contemporary good taste. This all due to owners, husband and wife design team, Shona and Jerry Ponder.
Ballater offers more 'by appointment' shops than possibly any village in Britain. There is a worthy golf course and unlimited walking among majestic scenery. Balmoral is well worth a visit when the Queen is not in residence.
On the ground floor there is a spacious reception area leading to the utility room and rear door to the garden, a double bedroom with doors to the garden, a twin bedroom, a toilet and shower room and the lovely master bedroom with ensuite Jacuzzi bath and sauna.
Upstairs is one big beautiful open living space with large comfortable couches which simply invite you to lounge and relax. There is an interesting dining area to one end of the lounge and a door off to a small bedroom with bunk beds. At the other end double doors lead to the fully fitted and well equipped kitchen which in turn leads to a roof terrace to the rear overlooking the garden.
