Within 2 miles of Gleneagles golf courses, Easterton Farm Cottage is ideally situated close to the A9 between Stirling and Perth. Centrally lcated in the heart of beautiful Perthshire, it is within easy reach of several other major golf courses like Carnoustie and St Andrews. For those interested in art, history or the theatre, Edinburgh and Glasgow are within 50 miles.
The cottage has its own private garden and ample parking. In the surrounding fields, cattle, sheep and horses can be watched grazing quietly, while overhead one of the resident buzzards may be spotted. The view towards Ben Vorlich takes in Orchil Castle.
A wide variety of restaurants can be found in the nearby village of Auchterarder or 'The Lang Toon' as it is known. The Co-op stays open to 10pm and the new delicatessen is a must to visit. Many boutiques and fashion shops offer a wide range of designer clothing.
The cottage sleeps 6 comfortably with a double ensuite room on the ground floor and 2 twin rooms upstairs with shared bathroom and shower and extra large cast iron bath. Young children are well-catered for with cot and highchair. Linen and towels are provided. The spacious utility room is ideal for wellie boots, wet clothes or muddy dogs! All mod cons have been installed to make your stay comfortable-dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, tumble drier, music centre, TV and video. Barbeque facilities are available and heating is all inclusive.
On farm activities include the chance to try the exciting sport of equestrian vaulting (gymnastics on horseback) and exploring the woodlands surrounding the farm.
Golfing can be enjoyed at one of the many courses in the area, riding at the prestigious Gleneagles Equestrian Centre, falconry courses at Braco Castle three miles away and angling is available on the next farm. For the more adventurous, skydiving, gliding and off-road driving are available in the vicinity. For those who enjoy scenery, Perthshire is second to none.
