Close to Moffat is the Devil's Beef Tub, a dramatic landform used by the Border Reivers to hide their stolen cattle. This is Robert Burns country and he was a regular visitor to Moffat. He patronised the Black Bull which is the nearest pub to Number 6 (5 minutes walk). The property is newly available for self catering holidays. It has central heating throughout, the main living areas are fully carpeted and it is very well decorated and equipped. The kitchen includes a turbo, fan-assisted oven. Other facilities include fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher. A utility room has a washing machine and lots of space for drying. The second bedroom has two single beds and the window looks out to the hills. The bathroom has a bath, power shower, toilet and washbasin with shaving point.
