Cairnyard Holiday Lodges are located in the beautiful Dumfriesshire countryside, five miles from Dumfries, on a small, quiet, privately-owned and uncommercialised site in what was previously the grounds of Cairnyard House. The lodges are of high quality and comfortable, with views of the surrounding hills and Mabie Forest, which is easily accessible from the site. The location is an ideal base for visiting the many attractions in the area, or simply as a relaxing retreat at any time of the year. The four lodges sleep 2-4 people, and weekly prices per unit range from £145 to £380. Off season midweek or weekend breaks available.
One double bed and two single beds, bathroom with shower, open plan L-shaped sitting/kitchen/dining room, with patio doors onto verandah.
All lodges:
- are wheelchair friendly, with ramp access and wide doorways - suitable for accompanied semi-disabled
- are double glazed, well insulated and have fitted carpets
- have a well equipped, modern kitchen, with electric hob and oven, microwave, refridgerator, automatic washer/dryer, electric kettle, toaster etc.
- have a colour TV in the sitting room
- have a parking space alongside
Off-season mid-week or weekend breaks are available, minimum of 2 nights.
Things to do and see - golf, horse riding, fishing, forest walks, bike trails, touring, beaches, gardens, bird watching, etc. Caerlaverock Castle and Bird Sanctuary nearby.
