Whilst primarily intended for two, there is a single folding bed available on request. We hope that the low threshold and being step-free, will make this cottage accessable
to those of  limited mobility. The double bedroom is fitted with mirrored wardrobes giving plenty of drawer and hanging space and has linked beds which can be either twin or zipped to make a queen sized double as you request. 

The en suite bathroom has a shower over the bath, also a  basin and WC.

The glass doors from the bedroom open into a pleasant courtyard, enclosed by a high wall   A lovely place for breakfast on a sunny morning!   
   
The side gate gives on to the central courtyard where there is ample parking.

About Oak, Beech and Sycamore Cottages

A group of three traditional stone cottages situated between Lockerbie and Moffat, close to the A74(M) - making your journey easier!   The cottages were originally built around 1880 and formed part of the stables and outbuildings for the Dinwoodie Lodge, which they stand behind and to one side of.

The lodge is now a small hotel and its licensed bar and restaurant are open to non-residents.

Oak cottage sleeps two (Queen or twin beds, to your choice) with en-suite bathroom, shower over, large lounge/dining room and well equipped kitchen. Sycamore has one double and two single bedrooms, bathroom with shower over, lounge and kitchen/diner. Beech is very similiar to Sycamore but has a separate shower in a recess of the main bedroom and also has a comfortable bed settee in the lounge, allowing it to sleep 6.  All the lounges have colour television with freeview (giving many extra channels) plus a selection of books and games etc. 

All the kitchens have full sized cooker, washing machine, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, plus a good supply of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans etc.   Each has its own private garden or courtyard.
All the cottages have central heating and double glazing and all linen, towels, gas and electricity are included in the price.   Pets are very welcome but we do ask that they please bring their own towels!! 

No smoking please.  Parking is beside each cottage. The close proximity of the cottages has proved popular with those wishing to share a holiday with friends or family, yet keep their own private space.

A good range of local shops can be found in Lockerbie or Moffat with Carlisle and Dumfries about 20 miles away.  Rich in wildlife, this is an ideal centre for walking, touring or sports.  Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Lakes are all within easy reach and there are an abundance of local attractions - Hiking, fishing, riding, mountain bike trails, car rallies and local festivals, Castles, Lochs and wonderful scenery.
