Three delightful, comfortable and well-furnished houses, decorated to a high standard with large, well equipped cosy kitchens. All three in exceptional locations, private but not isolated. Tennis court and fishing available; the surrounding area offers tranquil walks, beaches, sailing, water-skiing and cycling - or just relax!
BRIDGEND stands alone at the end of the village of Haugh of Urr. A building with 17th Century origins, it is the oldest house in the village, and sits beside the picturesque packhorse bridge over the Urr Water, which was built by General Wade as he marched across Galloway gathering recruits to fight in the Jacobite Rebellion.
Originally housing three families, Bridgend was modernised to the highest standards in 2000 as a cosy and comfortable house with a capacity of six.. At the bottom of the garden the Urr Water is met by the smaller Spottes Burn as it heads towards the sea.
THE RACHE is an exceptionally unusual holiday house, created out of 18th century stable buildings. Modernised originally in 1995 as a family house it is spacious, decorated with a contemporary feel and extremely comfortable. Outside a terrace runs the length of the house and is a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner in good weather.
The Rache is within the private grounds of the house for which it was once the stables. However it has the use of two lawns and the tennis court by arrangement.
