Eastlaw Holiday Cottages in Coldingham have been renovated from a farm steading into 4 self catering holiday cottages, set 500 metres from the centre of the popular village of Coldingham on the edge of the Scottish Borders, 10 miles from the English border at Berwick upon Tweed, 75 miles from Newcastle and 45 miles to Edinburgh. The village has 2 pubs providing a friendly atmosphere, good food, also a restaurant and holiday park providing entertainment in Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each of the 4 cottages sleeps 6 (cot available on request). The cottages have been tastefully decorated and have full gas central heating with spacious living area containing a wood burning fire, television, video, DVD and stereo. Facilities include utility area with washing machine and toilet, these lead out to a drying and sitting area with picnic tables. The cottages offer open plan kitchen diner with a new fitted kitchen and appliances including built in oven, hob extractor, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer, allowing holiday makers to enjoy each others company even whilst cooking, making your holiday as pleasurable as possible. On the first floor there are three pitched roof bedrooms, tiled master bathroom and master bedroom with en-suite. The second and third bedrooms have interconnecting doors that provide an excellent family room, providing peace of mind and privacy at the same time. Cottage 4, is designed slightly differently, larger than the other cottages, on the ground floor there are 3 bedrooms and master bathroom, the master bedroom has en-suite facilities and twin beds and a dressing area. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have twin beds and views over the fields towards the village. The first floor offers open plan living and dinning with wood floors and log fire and fantastic views out over farm land and rolling hills to St Abbs Head and the sea through the panoramic 6 metre window offering dramatic views of shipping making their way up and down the Firth of Forth. Ptarmigan cottage, with a red front door, has been tastefully decorated and has full gas central heating. Take advantage of the fabulous views through the windows or the stable door, sweeping across farm fields containing arable crops or cattle dependant on the season. On the first floor there are three pitched-roof bedrooms, and a fully tiled family bathroom. The Master bedroom has a double bed, natural pine flooring and cosy rugs plus an en-suite shower room with a hand-basin and W.C. The second and third bedrooms have interconnecting doors that provide an excellent family room, for peace of mind and privacy at the same time. The lovely views from the windows look out over local pastures and catch glimpses of the light house and sea at St.Abbs. 'Ptarmigan' cottage is the ideal place in which to relax in the Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, for either a long Holiday or just a Short Break. On this page we feature pictures of the furnishings in the sitting room which are similar to those provided in all the cottages here at East Law. In this spacious room, two deep and well cushioned sofas invite you to relax in comfort. Although all the cottages have full gas central heating, on chilly evenings its tempting to light the logs in the wood-burning stove, if only to add to the cosy and homely atmosphere surrounding you! A basket of logs is provided. In summer time, it may be that a barbecue on the patio is just what you'll enjoy, or perhaps a simple salad and a glass of wine? After spending a day at the sea-side, visiting a stately home or exploring the local countryside, it feels so good to return to the comfort of your cottage however late in the day! Here you can enjoy reading a book in peace or listening to music on the Music Centre. Perhaps you'll prefer to watch your favourite program, or a blockbuster film, on the TV/video player. Tall up-lighters and convenient table lamps give plenty of light for reading, puzzling over jig-saws or playing cards and table games in the evenings. But in the winter time we're sure you'll enjoy a warming bowl of soup and then maybe you'll decide to curl up by the fire with a good book.
