Cricket View is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, but only 7 miles from the centre of Sheffield city centre, Low Bradfield is the quintessential English village. In the summer life revolves around the cricket green, with cricket matches being played ever Saturday and Sunday. In the winter, ramblers and walkers criss-cross the numerous footpaths that traverse the village. The village boasts two pubs that both do food, a Post Office, village shop and cafe. There is a bus service to and from Hillsborough four miles away, with connections onto the city centre via buses or trams. Cricket View is tucked behind the shop/Post Office with a view of the village green. Whether you choose to explore the country side on foot, bike or bus, leaving the car behind or driving to the myriad of tourist attractions in and around the area, Cricket View is the ideal starting point.Cricket View sleeps up to four people; with two double bedrooms, on the ground floor, which can accommodate either two double beds or four singles or any combination of these. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath. Upstairs, the living accommodation is open plan with a solid fuel stove. You can enjoy Sky TV, DVDs, videos and a CD player. There is a phone for incoming calls only. Mobile phones are unreliable in the village, however there is a call box outside the Post Office. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and a fridge with a small freezer box. If you go mad at the local farm shops, freezer space can be organised in the shop. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the laundry room. The small garden has a barbeque and garden furniture for your use.
