Brookland is a superb 3 bedroom holiday cottage (sleeps 6) in the perfect village location of Twynholm, just off the A75, between Castle Douglas and Gatehouse of Fleet. Kirkcudbright is only 3 miles away with an abundance of cafes, art galleries and gift shops.
With endless activities such as wastersports, golf, riding, cycling and fishing only a few miles away, or the lovely beaches, forest walks, shops, gardens, castles and bird-watching, there is something to suite everyone, making you holiday in this beautiful part of south west Scotland really enjoyable.
Brookland is a stone built cottage dating back to the 1800's. Recently refurbished, decorated and equpped to meet the needs of 21st century holiday-makers. The sitting room has 2 sofas, colour television, video, playstation, books and videos. A well appointed kitchen and dining room (again with a colour television). The double bedroom contains a wash-basin.
The cottage is gas centrally heated with a multi-fuel stove (fuel supplied), in sitting room. All included in the price.
Baby equipment is available and baby-sitting by arrangement;
Board games, toys and many extras (ie CD player);
Bed linen available ( at extra cost);
Lawned garden, shed (for bikes) and off-road parking for 2 cars;
Twynholm has a well stocked shop (off licence) and Post Office - open all week. The Star Hotel (child friendly) offers a good choice of food and wine.
