Shepherds Cottage is a delightful Grade II Listed 17th Century Dales stone cottage facing south and standing on its own in a small field surrounded by beautiful countryside. Approached by a gravel drive it is peacefully situated just over a mile from Hawes in Wensleydale. This cottage was one of the earliest farmhouses in the Yorkshire Dales, being built in 1633 and has been fully renovated to a high standard, retaining all its former charm and character, there being original mullioned windows,beamed ceilings,feature stone work and pitch pine floors throughout.
Downstairs comprises of entrance porch, cloakroom with W.C., large sitting room with open fire and farmhouse kitchen with Rayburn, which runs the oil-fired central heating. Upstairs there are three bedrooms to accommodate six people and a cosy bathroom, the whole being furnished with Victorian pine and Laura Ashley prints. Plenty of private car parking is available and the grass paddock is ideal for children to play.
