Located close to the beautiful North York Moors National Park, in the old part of Helmsley, this stone-built cottage was awarded the prince of Wales feathers when it was a pottery. You will notice the original curved stone edge of the ground floor which allowed easier access for the horses and carts.Fleur de Lys is very convenient for the shops, pubs, restaurants and hotels that abound in the famous Helmsley Market Place.Plenty of off-street parking under the car port offers peace of mind for 2 car owners. Beyond this is the enclosed peaceful garden with BBQ and furniture.There is a smaller garden and patio with furniture immediately outside the cottage door. This leads into a useful lobby for hats, coats and boots. The remaining ground floor is open plan consisting of a carpeted sitting and dining area with a tiled floor kitchen. This arrangement makes it easy to socialise whilst cooking.Two large comfortable settees together with a cushioned window seat offer plenty of relaxing opportunities in front of the gas fire and TV with video. There is central heating as well that is under your control and at no extra expense.Dining table and chairs link this area to the modern kitchen, offering electric oven, gas hob, extractor hood, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.The open plan wooden stairs (difficult with very young children) lead to the two bedrooms and bathroom, all of which are carpeted and nicely decorated. All bedding, linen, towels are provided free of charge.The light and airy front bedroom boasts two windows, a walk-in wardrobe, double bed with canopy over, lots of storage and remote TV. There is a single chair bed if extra beds are needed. Bedroom two can accommodate two children on 2'6' beds or they will link and zip together to form a bed. Please let us know when you book.
