A pretty, completely restored, end, stone cottage in a quiet, private location on the edge of Helmsley, a popular Georgian market town in the North Yorkshire National Park. Rose Beck is within 2 minutes walk of the centre and has a private rear garden and patio areas, together with a front sitting area in a sunny location. All the old features have been renovated and maintained including the stone-flagged kitchen floor, beamed ceilings to ground-floor rooms, log-burning stove and French windows to the rear garden. In addition, all modern amenities are available including gas central heating, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV, video and cd player. There is a family bathroom and one bedroom has ensuite facilities. Our cottage has parking available for one car. The other has ample parking within 100 yards at the cottage.Helmsley is situated in a lovely part of the country and has many attractions including Duncombe Park, the Castle and many quality shops, restaurants and pubs. It is within driving distance of the coast at Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and Filey and the city of York. Other attractions include Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall, and Rievaulx and Byland Abbeys. The North Yorkshire Moors railway at Pickering is only 25 minutes away where there is also a trout fishing farm. The nearest golf course is at Kirbymoorside - 7 miles from Helmsley. Helmsley offers an open-air swimming pool (summer months only), horse-riding, fishing, shooting and tennis. Duncombe Park hosts antique and craft fairs, outdoor concerts and various other events through the year.
