This 200-year-old period town house/cottage is just a short walk from all local amenities in the historical market town of Howden, opposite the moated park and the 8thC minster. Fully furnished and well equipped to a high standard. Sleeps 4/5 Friday to Friday basis. Long weekends are negotiable.It is centrally located for visiting York, Beverley and the Yorkshire Coast. Ideal for walking, cycling, exploring the area, or just relaxing and enjoying the town. The 12-acre marsh is only a short walk away which is ideal for exploring and bird-watching.The accommodation , comprising of 1 double bedroom, 1 twin-bedded room, sitting-room (with a bed settee), dining room, fully-fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, microwave, bathroom with toilet, hand basin and bath.The property is heated with gas central heating, which is inclusive. There are adequate and current smoke alarms fitted. For the benefit of other guests we operate a strict no smoking policy in the house. Also, sorry no pets. All bed linen and towels are provided. The house has a TV and video in the sitting-room and there is reading material and information on local areas of interest as well as games etc.On arrival, a welcome tray is provided which includes tea, coffee and home-made scones. A provision hamper can be ordered in advance. To the rear of the property there is a small walled garden with patio furniture.
