Imagine getting close to the countryside in a snug spacious tipi tent. The children love them, romantic couples are swept away by them! The 18' tipi is carpeted, lined for extra warmth, airbeds for comfort and a chimera fire to sit in front of watching the flames. Other than a short hop across the fields to the new luxurious showers and toilets, and to the restaurant and cafe for meals - (or lots of local eateries within 3-6 miles), you have silence and privacy.
Farm park for rare farm animals with scenic views and informal gardens. Paddocks with pigs, ponies, cows and goats, undercover sheep and poultry unit. One of Britain's largest collection of breeds of rabbit, pets' park, ponds. Water gardens, toddlers' play area, adventure playground. New for 2006 is a large undercover play area with a climbing wall and an education centre with 2/3 classrooms. Events feature the 'Grunt National' the televised pig racing! Tractor/trailer rides in peak season. Activity days throughout the year. A reconstructed Iron Age roundhouse from successful archaeological dig in 2002 tops off the nature trail round the farm where many rare species of butterfly and bird can be found.
