Manor Farm is set in the middle of the village with downland to the north and meadows with the River Nadder to the south, 5 miles west of Salisbury. The farmhouse is warm and comfortable, attractively furnished and has a sitting room giving access to the walled garden which guests are invited to use and enjoy.The bedrooms are en suite with the usual extra accessories including TV. Various eating establishments are suggested by your host Sue Combes - the local pub being a 5 minute walk.This is a working farm, mainly arable growing various cereals, also a 300sheep flock which lamb in the autumn and winter. We are very aware of supporting wildlife, inparticular birds and flora and fauna.Burcombe is an ideal location for the many attractions in the area - Wilton House, Salisbury and the cathedral, Stonehenge, the New Forest and National Trust properties such as Stourhead. Bath, Dorchester and Portsmouth are about an hours drive. For those who enjoy walking, the downs provide excellent walks with wonderful scenic views including Salisbury Cathedral as well as birds, butterflies, wildlife, flowers and above all peace and tranquility. An ideal place to enjoy a few days holiday.Sue is very happy to help you plan your excursions and give directions (some printed) to avoid the main roads.
