Blenheim is a delightful cottage (sleeps 3) formed from part of the original 350 year old farmhouse. A wonderful lounge with oak beams and an inglenook fireplace (now capped), and kitchen/diner.
Upstairs a coloured suite in the bathroom. The single bedroom overlooks the garden while the double with its tiny original windows and old stone fireplace has far reaching views towards the Mendips.
Bramley and Blenheim can be interlinked via a door in the rear hall which leads to the garden making them perfect for those wishing to be together but having the option of privacy.
Views from the cottages stretch fifteen miles to the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge, over the peat levels, the haunt of curlew and heron, and around the cider orchards where sheep and cattle graze. They are situated approximately 2 miles from Glastonbury which is reputedly the birthplace of Christianity in England and the side of "King Arthur's tomb.
We are just five miles from Wells, the smallest cathedral city in the country, with its magnificent West Front, Roman (and Georgian) Bath is 23 miles. Some splendid caves are at nearby Wookey Hole and Cheddar, while the sea at Weston-super-Mare is half an hours drive. If you like sand, there are five miles of it from Berrow to Brean. Exmoor and the Quantock Hills (Wordsworth and Coleridge) are an hour's drive. These are just some of the many interesting places to visit.
Also situated in close proximity to the holiday cottages are the following facilities: leisure centres; horse riding; golf courses, fishing, pot holing and a small theatre. The nearest general store/post office, public houses and nearest public transport are about a mile in distance. We are open all year. Short Breaks are available from October to Easter. There is a indoor heated swimming pool for guests use.
