Russet is a spacious cottage. Entrance is via a porch into the kitchen. From the kitchen through a large hall is the lounge, a big room with splendid inglenook fireplace (now capped). Through the lounge into what was the original entrance hall of the property are the enclosed stairs to the second floor. The bathroom is big and airy with a bath and separate shower. Next to the bathroom is the double bedroom and a cot. Off the landing is a single bedroom and next to this is the bedroom with twin beds. Views from the cottages stretch fifteen miles to the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge, over the peat levels, the haunt of curlew and heron, and around the cider orchards where sheep and cattle graze. They are situated approximately 2 miles from Glastonbury which is reputedly the birthplace of Christianity in England and the side of "King Arthur's tomb.
