The Dairy is a peaceful, 300-year-old self-contained cottage attached to our former farmhouse, "Cottage Farm". The old farm dairy, it has been renovated into a charming, two-bedroom cottage, with exposed stone and beams and stripped pine doors. The Dairy has gas central heating and with thick stonewalls, stays cosy in winter and cool in summer. We pride ourselves on keeping the cottage very well equipped, clean and welcoming. The original front door opens into the sitting room, with TV, DVD, sofa bed and armchair.The kitchen features an electric cooker, fridge, washing machine, microwave and a pine table and chairs. A spiral staircase leads upstairs. The master bedroom has a wood floor, romantic canopied bed and wash basin. The second bedroom has a single bed and space for a second bed or cot. The bathroom has an electric shower, loo and hand basin. We can provide broadband internet access. Outside is a large walled courtyard with car parking and a sunny, south-facing patio, with lilac and roses and a small lawn and water feature as well as a garden table, chairs and BBQ available for guests. Children of all ages are welcome and well provided for, with good quality equipment and toys. We also welcome well behaved dogs (by arrangement), there are numerous fields and footpaths 50 yards up the quiet lane. The village has been awarded a conservation status and we are surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty. The area is especially suitable for walking and cycling, we have a barn where you can store bikes and a drying area for wet gear. We are committed to help our guests get the most from their stay and are happy to make bookings, provide information as well as giving a personal, friendly, welcome.
