Wellisford Manor Barn is situated in a beautiful peaceful valley only 45 minutes from Bristol and 2 hours 30 minutes from London. It is surrounded by wonderful unspoilt countryside - the Blackdown Hills, Quantocks and Exmoor, where wild ponies and deer can be easily seen. The property makes an ideal touring base for South Somerset and North Devon. To the north are the beautiful sandy beaches of Saunton, Croyde & Woolacombe offering surfing and other water sports. Watchet Marina, Minehead and the picturesque medieval village of Dunster, with its magnificent National Trust castle are also nearby. To the south you'll find the beautiful Jurassic South Coast, with all its many popular beauty spots and attractions, including Topsham, Branscombe, and Beer which have all proved popular with our visitors. Powderham Castle, Cothay Manor and the beautiful National Trust properties at Killerton, Barrington, and Knightshayes Court are also worth a visit. There are lots of attractions, but if you are only coming for a weekend, how about leaving the car in the drive, taking a picnic down to the river and letting the children play in the shallow river, jumping onto the little shingle islands, watching the wildlife and breathing in the peace

The barn is set in a glorious peaceful rural valley. There is ample parking in the gravelled driveway, alongside the pleached hornbeam hedge. There is a formal entrance through a pair of immense hardwood doors into the entrance hall, or an informal entrance through the garden gate into the secure, totally private walled garden. This is particularly nice for families with young children as they can play safely in the garden and be watched from virtually every room in the house. There is a huge round garden table with 4 curved benches. It seats 12 comfortably under the sunshade. There is also a Gas BBQ, but the show-stopper is the huge 8 seater hot hub.
