There is also a charming patio area where you can watch the sun set in the evening. The main room in the chapel is a twenty feet by thirty feet live work area with the aga and kitchen at one end of the very large room. With wooden floors, loads of natural light and high windows and ceilings which allow for total privacy for your gathering, workshop or holiday. You can make as much or as little noise as you like without disturbing anyone or being disturbed.... Attached to the main chapel is the original cottage with a living room with flagstone floors, wood burner and doors to the patio. There is a double futon bed-settee here. Upstairs in the cottage is a bedroom with double bed, bedroom with bunk beds and a gallery above the main chapel room with a double futon bed-settee also makes an excellent reading area. There is a bathroom and an utility room with sink, washing machine and extensive storage. Downstairs in the old Sunday school is a separate self-contained flat with a large living room with double futon bed-settee, a small kitchen area, open fire and lots of natural light. There is a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom. So the chapel sleeps 12 but can sleep many more for workshops. (There are 4 further single futon mattresses which can be placed on the floor in the chapel as required for extra guests and lots of floor space!) The chapel is 10 minutes from the beautiful cathedral city of Wells, the ancient and alternative attractions of Glastonbury and the pretty village of Castle Cary where there is a main railway line to London (1hr 40 mins) The Georgian city of Bath is 40 minutes away as is Bristol. There are many amazing attractions nearby including the caves at Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge, Avebury, many National Trust properties, gardens and Stately Homes and in summer many festivals from the Big Green Gathering to the Glastonbury Goddess Conference.
