Smiddy used to be the old "roundhouse" and sleeps four in two bedrooms (double galleried upstairs via a steep spiral staircase, the twin downstairs); there is one bathroom. This is a cosy cottage tucked round the corner from the others. There are views across the paddock to the village. We have four self catering cottages (of which Smiddy is one) are stone barn conversions. all have fully equipped kitchens which also include a dishwasher, microwave and freezer. Each cottage has a wood burning stove and conventional electric heating including heated towel rails, making them snug and warm during the winter. As well as radio, television and video, there is an extensive range of books and games to borrow. An adventure playground is a recent addition for all children up to ten years old. The communal Laundry Room is equipped with coin operated washing and drying machines. There is also a payphone and fax in the main house. We also have four large stables and two pony stables, if you wish to bring your own horse on holiday, we can get a supply of water, hay, straw and chippings bought in, but the mucking out will have to be done by yourselves.
