For those who may wish to explore the area, Historic Wells (smallest city in England), Glastonbury and Bath are only a short drive away. The Mendip hills are close at hand. Longleat House, Stourhead and the famous Fleet Air arm museum at Yeovilton are all within half an hours drive. Each season brings its own natural beauty and any time is perfect to visit this part of Somerset. The quiet hamlet of Stoney Stratton is a mile away from the village of Evercreech with its 2 country pubs, post office stores, bakers, chemist and hairdressers. The area is bleassed with many country pub restaurants and the visitor is really spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out.
